Director Pasanga Pandiraj celebrated his birthday yesterday on June 7, when all of his friends took the opportunity to wish him. Soon after, his announcement on his next film arrived. Surprisingly, the director will choose an urban script but will explore the slums and their lives.

He wanted to make a film in Chennai backdrop after his Vamsam which was set against a rural backdrop. “I want all my films to be different from each other. I decided on this script while doing Vamsam,” says Pandiraj.
Pasanga Pandiraj has hunted for about 10 kids and he has been training them in acting. All of them are from the 9 to 12 age group. All of them belong to the slums. Like Mira Nair, the director is trying to make real people act. He also assures that it will not be like “Pasanga”, though it involves many kids.
The film is about kids living in slums, beaches and the harbor. The director is into severe research before going on floors with the project. Pasanga has won him the National Award and we hope this film too has something special to show.
