Two grand weddings, which are scheduled to take place in 3rd July (coming Sunday), are expected to draw the attention of almost all the actors, actresses and technicians in the film industry. Actor Karthi and director Selvaraghavan are set to tie the nuptial knots on Ranjani and Geethanjali respectively at various venues.
As such, an ‘unofficial’ holiday has been announced, calling halt to all the shooting engagements scheduled for that day so as to enable all the actors, actresses, technicians and others to take part in these weddings. Karthi’s marriage to Ranjani, a post-graduate in English Literature, is to be held in the Kodisia Complex in Coimbatore.
Karthi’s father Sivakumar and elder brother Surya have been busy distributing the invitation cards to the industry folks and important politicians for the grand marriage which would soon be followed by a reception to be hosted in Chennai at the Le Royal Meridiene on 7th July.
Selva is all set to enter the matrimonial bliss for the second time by marrying Gitanjali, one of his assistant directors, on 3rd July. It may be recalled that Selvaa divorced his actress-wife Sonia Agarwal last year and fell in love with Gitanjali and decided to marry her. Busy with his upcoming film ‘Irandaam Ulagam’, he jocularly remarked that he didn’t have time to go for a ‘honeymoon’ trip and would be celebrating the honeymoon on the open terrace of house!
