Director Bala is known for his creativity, reality and novelty. His characters are creations from the same society which in turn makes them real but the depiction is novel to the film industry. This is true from the maiden film Sethu which depicted the pathetic nature of a sick soul falling in love to fail. His next one Nanda was an unusual with the anti-heroic deeds which see the end from his own mother.
Pitha Magan was a combination of two forces – semi god and real hero – which ultimately fetched the coveted National award for Vikram. Bala’s last film in his row Naan Kadavul was a slash on the conventional and orthodox personalities about the existence of god. His on going movie Avan Ivan is ready for release as audio launch is already over.
The talk in the industry now is about Bala’s next venture and the artists whom he may opt for. Normally Bala is known for his choice of characters before finalizing the artists and in all his earlier cases he had opted familiar artists of high caliber. News spread in the industry claims that Bala’s next movie is to come under the banner of B Studios, owned by Prakash who will show his mettle as an artist. The bird is inside the bush now and sooner it may spread its wings. Bala would himself reveal the content. Till then we shall wait.
