Comedians turning heroes is nothing new in Tamil cinema. Even Ganja Karuppu too is not new to it. Earlier he has played one of the protagonists in Arai Enn 305il Kadavul, directed by Simbu Devan.
Now the comedy actor has been roped in to play the lead role in a film titled Mannaar Valaiguda. ‘It will be a hilarious film from scene one and will be a treat to comedy lovers,’ say sources.
To be produced and directed by a newcomer, a popular heroine is tipped to play opposite Ganja Karuppu. ‘The film will show the actor in a different role. He is thrilled about the actor,’ sources further say.
The movie will go on floors soon. Karuppu’s counterparts Vivek, Vadivelu and Karunas too have tried their hands at playing the lead roles in the recent past.
