Director Rajesh is hoping that his upcoming flick ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ (OkOk) would turn out to be a hit film and would be liked in a big way by the masses. The director, who successfully debuted in Kollywood with the Jeeva-Anuya starrer ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ more than a couple of years back, had another hit last year with his Aarya-Nayantara starrer ‘Bas Engira Baskaran’.
Thanks to the friendship that he struck with Udhayanidhi Stalin, who produced ‘BEB’, Rajesh decided to cast Udhayanidhi as the hero in his third venture ‘OkOk’. The title, as the readers are award, is nothing but the opening line of the popular song from ‘SMS’. After approaching many leading heroines in vain to pair up opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin, Rajesh finally zeroed in on Hansika Motwani.
Despite the pre-release hype and the publicity by Sun Network, both her films ‘Maapillai’ and ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’ haven’t set the box-office of fire. OkOk, which has already completed two schedules of shooting, is progressing well, assures Rajesh even as he prepares to leave for Ooty to compose a few songs with composer Harris Jeyaraj.
“We had already composed two songs in Singapore and would be completing two more in Ooty soon. After I return from Ooty, I plan to start the next schedule from Sunday (5th June),” says Rajesh who looks all set for a hat-trick of hits at the box-office with ‘OkOk’.
