Why K.V Anand selected Jeeva?

When Simbu walked out of ‘Ko‘, K.V Anand had a long list of actors in front of him to replace STR. But his choice, as we all know, was Jeeva and those who had watched the film felt the actor was indeed the right pick.

Explaining as to why he chose Jeeva, Anand, who is happy about the rave reviews and audience reaction on ‘Ko’, says, “I have admired Jeeva’s skills in Raam, Katradhu Thamizh, Ee and Siva Manasula Sakthi.”

Anand adds: “He is a stylish guy in real life and his suaveness was not showcased on screen so far. So I felt that he could do justice to the press photographer role in ‘Ko’. He has proved me right.”

Detailing has always been one of the core strengths of Anand. He says, “For ‘Kana Kandein‘, I researched a lot about desalination. And for ‘Ayan‘, I did as much research on the subject of smuggling. Likewise, we visited a lot of media houses before starting ‘Ko’.”
