The fastest rising star in Kollywood Karthi, is tying the knot with Ranjani, a literature graduate and gold medalist from Stella Maris in Chennai.
The star’s father Sivakumar through his PRO issued a press statement today (April 27). Karthi younger brother of leading actor Surya had some time back in an interview had stated that he will be going for an arranged marriage.
He has kept his word and is going for an arranged marriage. The star decided to get married at a time when his career is going great guns. His Siruthai is 2011′s biggest hit so far. At the moment he has started his next project titled Sakuni.

Karthi reveals wedding plans
Actor Karthi Sivakumar, probably the most eligible bachelor in Tamil filmdom, opened up on his marriage plans at the audio launch of his forthcoming film ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ in Chennai today.
“I will marry the girl of my parent’s choice and there is no place for romance in my life,” the actor said, adding: “I am thrilled to be part of the movie which is set in the city and loaded with action and humour”.
In his address, music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja thanked all for their support and expressed confidence that the songs would become big hits. A couple of songs were also screened on the occasion.
Among those who were present were director Lingusamy, Suseendran, Kajal Agarwal and Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies.
The movie starring Karthi and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles, is directed by Suseendran of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ fame and produced by K E Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green Films. It will be released by Cloud Nine Movies.
