Riding high on the success of ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’, everyone expected that Susindran would wield megaphone for an A-league actor. But he picked up a novel as his inspiration and made ‘Azhagar Saamyin Kuthirai’ with Appukutty of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kulu’ and Saranya Mohan in lead roles.
The film was supposed to hit screens during first week of April, but was delayed due to ICC Cricket World Cup, IPL and lots of other releases. Director Susindran had impressed Vikram with a best script set in rural backdrops and now it looks like ‘Chiyaan’ will start shooting for the film soon after the release of ‘Deiva Thirumagan’.
But the closer sources to Vikram reveal that he is yet to decide between Susindran and Kannan, who has already won his approval.
