Superstar Rajnikanth starrer ‘Raana‘ is all set to start the shoot after the general assembly elections. Raana has been making headlines from the time the thought of making it has been decided by the Team.
‘Rana’ team is expected to kick start the shoot by the end of April. Soundarya Rajinikantha and the director K.S Ravikumar called for a press meet yesterday and cleared the speculations regarding the star cast of the movie. Putting an end to all speculations the director made it clear that they have neither approached Rekha or Hema Malini and are in the process of fine tuning the script, and they have zeroed only on Deepika Padukone and talks are going on with Vidya Balan for one of the lead roles.
Soundarya said that her father Superstar Rajnikanth has penned the script which is a historical based script set in the backdrop of 17th century. It was also confirmed that Oscar Award Winner A.R Rahman has been roped in for scoring tunes to the tracks and Rathnavelu will handle the camera and the budget of the flick is estimated to be 100 crores.
