There have been numerous movies based on the life of Veerappan which includes Captain Prabhakaran, Ethirum Puthirum among others.
Now A.M.R Ramesh who is well known for making realistic movies like Kuppi which is based on the assasination of Rajiv Gandhi is making a movie on Veerappan named Vana Yudham. The film would have Kishore of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ and ‘Aadukalam’ fame. Along with directed this movie, Ramesh will also produce the movie under the banner of Akshaya Creations. Ramesh has earlier directed Kadhalar Kudiyiruppu which has already hit the theatres.
Another director Gowthaman is also making a movie on Veerappan which is called Santhana Kaadu.
