Kamal Hassan‘s upcoming film, which is said to be a remake of Hollywood movie Hannibal, is likely to be titled Vishwaroobham. After considering a few, the the makers of the film have decided to have this title, claims report.
Selvaraghavan, who has almost completed the pre-production works, is planning to register the title. It is said that Kamal Hassan has given his nod for Vishwaroobham. Meanwhile, the makers of the film are planning to start the shooting by third week of April.
However, Sonakshi Sinha has been signed to pair Kamal Hassan in the film. It is said that the actress ha been paid Rs. 2 crores to act in the film. Other details about the project are under wraps.

Is Kamal Haasan’s next film directed by Selvaraghavan is titled as Viswaroobham?
Yes! The Kollywood circuits are at a buzz that this title has been finalized for Kamal’s next which is a psychological thriller. Kamal and director Selvaraghavan has completed the script work for the film. Though Selva confesses that the film is not the replica of Hollywood film Hannibal, but speculation is that it’s a pure Indian version of Hannibal. Viswaroobham will move on to the floors in the mid of April in Hyderabad and later it will continue in Chennai. After the Chennai schedule the unit will be moving to London and the idea of the unit is to finish the film in less than 90 days as the film heroine can’t adjust her dates.
In an interview to a newspaper Sonakshi Sinha said “When director Selva narrated the plot to me I was very excited as the script reminded me by Bollywood debut. The whole package was very interesting and happy to be a part of the film”.
Sonakshi will take her flight to Chennai during the first week of April. She is going to meet Kamal and will hold some final discussions with the director regarding her role, her outfits and rest of the things.
Viswaroobham is being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Kamal-Selvaa to join hands for ‘Viswaroopam’
The on-again, off-again film bringing together the mercurial director Selvaraghavan and the unparallel Kamal Haasan is said to be coming through, finally. Sources close to the bespectacled director say that the film, billed as a psycho-thriller, has been tentatively titled as ‘Viswaroopam’.
The film is likely to be produced by ‘Ascar’ Ravichandran, who last produced Kamal Haasan’s magnum opus ‘Dasvathaaram’. The misunderstanding that crept between the hi-profile producer and the actor-par-excellence appears to have receded into thin air, as both of them are coming together now for Selvaa’s ‘Viswaroopam’.
The pre-production work has already begun, it is said. In all likelihood, the shooting of the film is likely to commence from April, it is informed. The film is rumoured to be based loosely on the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Secret of the Lambs’ and ‘Hannibal’. Selvaa has tactfully scripted the screenplay to suit the Tamil audience’s taste.
The heroine and the other cast is yet to be finalized.
