Vijay is a happy man now as the uncertainty over ‘Kavalan’ was put to an end on Pongal day when the film hit the screens all over the world, much to the celebration of his fans.
“It was only because of Vijay the movie managed to see the light of the day. He wanted his fans not to get disappointed and finally stepped in to ensure the release of Kavalan,” sources in the know say.
Saying that the actor gave some assurances to all those who had opposed the film’s release, sources add only after certain promises from Vijay they had withdrawn their opposition to ‘Kavalan’.
“Vijay is also happy that his fans enjoyed the film, which showed him in a different light,” sources add. Directed by Siddique, ‘Kavalan’, a remake of Malayalam hit ‘Bodyguard’, has Asin & Vadivelu in pivotal roles.
