Madan Karky, a computer software engineer by profession, is serving as a lecturer in the University of Madras. Born to an illustrious father, Gorky comes across as a soft-spoken persona who has in-depth knowledge about everything under the Sun.

Born to lyricists Vairamuthu & Ponmani, Madan Gorky worked in superstar Rajnikanth’s latest venture ‘Enthiran: The Robot’ as lyricist as well as technical adviser, thanks to his vast knowledge in computer-generated graphics matters. Madan went a step further by earning Shankar’s trust and then fine-tuning the dialogues of the film, penned by late author Sujatha and Shankar.
Madan is now debuting as a dialogue-writer for a full-length feature film with a film titled ‘Chutti Sathaan’ produced by Navodaya Combines. The film is a remake of the 3-D film ‘My Dear Kuthichathan’, which released in 1985 and ran to packed houses for more than 100 days in all the three South Indian languages viz., Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.
More graphics sequences are added in the film produced by Sri Thenandal Films owned by Raama Narayanan, Guinness-record holding director and the president of the Tamil Film Producers’ Council. The latest version would also feature, along with the child artistes of yesteryear, actress Urmila Matondkar, Prakashraj & comedian Santhanam.
A trio of celebrated cinematographers in Ashok Kumar, Ravi K. Chandran and Manoj Pramhansa are working as a team, displaying all their talents, for this film. ‘Maestro’ Ilaiyaraaja has scored music for the film while Madan has doubled up as lyricist by penning all the lyrics. Gijo, who directed the original version, gets behind the camera to call the shots this time too.
All in all, Madan’s venture is sure to attract children in a big way!
