Film actor Arvind Swamy and his estranged wife today appeared before a family court in Chennai in connection with their application seeking divorce.
Arvind Swamy, who has acted in Mani Ratnam films like Roja, Bombay and Thalapathy, and Gayathri Ramamurthy had married in 1994 and have two children.
The couple have been living separately since December 2003.
Last May, both moved the family court in Chennai seeking divorce by mutual consent.
Today, the two appeared before family court principal judge S Meenakshisundaram, who recorded evidence on their plea.
They estranged couple sought a decree of divorce dissolving their marriage on grounds of mutual incompatibility. The court adjourned the matter to December 10 for orders.
