Aashayein is the story of a compulsive gambler, Rahul Singh (John Abraham), who discovers new beginnings in life through a dramatic turn of events. It is a journey about love, hate, death and all other aspects of human life. Rahul is diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, because of which he leaves everything behind and moves into a hospice. The inmates he meets change his outlook on life. As his relationships grow with each one of them, Rahul tries to rise above his own needs and live life to the fullest, learning from the courage of those around him.

If you want to catch a comic caper this weekend, then watch Hello Darling. Directed by Manoj Tiwari, the film stars Gul Panag, Isha Koppikar, Celina Jaitley, Javed Jaffrey, Divya Dutta and Chunky Pandey. Hello Darling is a story of three smart, beautiful and talented designers working in Mumbai’s fashion industry, where the only way to the top is by outsmarting men on a personal as well as professional level. However, their wicked boss, Javed Jaffrey, never lets them achieve success. What remains to be seen is whether their plan of ruling the company on their own merit succeeds or fails.

Hollywood director Abel Ferry’s latest rage, Vertigo, starring Fanny Valette, Johan Libereau, Raphael Lenglet, Nicolas Giraud and Maud Wyler hits theatres this week. The film revolves around a group of friends on vacation who decide to venture into a trail high up in the mountains that has been closed for repair. The climb proves more perilous than planned, especially as they soon realise that they are not alone. Treat your eyes to an animated comedy flick this week. Geng: The Adventure Begins, directed by Nizam Razak, is a must watch this weekend. Badrol and Lim, two good friends, set on a journey to Kampong, the village where Badrol grew up. The friends decide to experience the long-forgotten true Malaysian life at Badrol’s grandfather’s durian orchard. However, their vacation is cut short by the discovery of a clue that leads them closer to the legend of the mystery house situated in the deep forest. Together with their newly found friends, Rajoo – the animal-whispering boy, Rose – the village beauty, and her two mischievous twin brothers, Upin and Ipin, they work to unravel the secrets surrounding the small Kampong.

Kollywood is all set to release its latest action comedy flick, Moscowin Kaveri, starring Rahul Ravindran, Samantha, and Harsha Vardhan. Moscowin Kaveri is about two lovers who lead different lifestyles and share nothing in common, but a spark ignites between the two of them and romance sets in. The story is about how this young couple perceives love, and how love is not always about pleasure, but is also about pain and sacrifice.
