Director Kannan’s previous films ‘Jeyam Kondan’ and ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ were soft-romantic family entertainers. This time, he goes for an abrupt change for an edge-seated crime thriller. Of course, it’s right time for the director to prove off proficiencies gained from his mentor Manirathnam.
The film ‘Vandhan Vendran’ is produced by K. Srinivasan of Vasan Visual Ventures, who has produced Aarya’s ‘Naan Kadavul’ and ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’. Vidhyasagar had scored music for both the previous films of Kannan and this time joins hands with young and happening Thaman. P.G. Muthaiah handles cinematography and V.T. Vijayan on editing. Patukottai Prabhakar pens dialogues and lyrics are written by Na. Muthukumar, Kabilan, Yugabharathy and Vairamuthu’s son Madan Karki.
Aadukalam’ fame Taapsee has been signed for the female lead character and rest of the star-casts will be shortly announced.
