Samuthirakani is ready to start his next venture. “He has named the film ‘Poraali’ and his good friend Sasikumar will play an important role in it,” say circles close to the actor-director.
The relationship between Samuthirakani and Sasikumar dates back to ‘Subramaniapuram’ days, when the former played the pivotal ‘Chithappa’ role in the trendsetter movie directed by the latter.
After a while, Sasikumar played one of the protagonists in ‘Nadodigal’, directed by Samuthirakani. And now sources have it that Samuthirakani is doing a pivotal role in Sasikumar’s directorial venture ‘Nagaram’.
“This shows the depth of friendship shared by Sasikumar and Samuthirakani,” sources add. Samuthirakani’s last directorial venture was the Telugu film ‘Sambho Shiva Sambho’, which is a remake of ‘Nadodigal’.
