Years after years, it’s Filmfare Awards that brings every film celebrity together. What makes these awards so special is public have a wide option of choosing their favorite actors and technicians.
The announcement about this year’s awards ceremony on August 7 was held yesterday noon at Hotel Accord in Chennai. South India’s most happening actress Tamannah inaugurated the event of announcement by lighting the lamp. The awards are brought to you jointly by Worldwide Media Pvt Ltd (Publishers of Filmfare) and Ideal Cellular – an association which is now in its second year.
Addressing media channels during the conference, Mr. Tarun Rai, Chief Executive Officer, Worldwide Pvt Ltd mentioned that for the past 57 years, Filmfare has been celebrating the creative talent of South Cinema. To be precise, it has been considered as ‘Oscar’s of South Cinema as it tends to be the ultimate recognition of Stardom.
