South Indian Film Chamber To Boycott Bollywood

South Indian Film Chamber South Indian Film Chamber To Boycott BollywoodOpposing the venue chosen for hosting the International Indian Film Awards, the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) has decided to boycott Bollywood films in the south.

C. Kalyan, president of SIFCC informed clearly that if any star or technician from Bollywood attends the IIFA in Colombo, their films will be boycotted by theatres in Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Kerala and Karnataka. It is a unanimous decision taken by the members of the chamber as all these years they were highlighting the human rights violations in Sri Lanka.

The SIFCC also made it clear that it was not against the IIFA but only the venue that was chosen for this year is not encouraging to them. Though the percentage of contribution from the south is less compared to the other states in the north, Bollywood would still be having a black mark.
