Anushka made her debut in the Tamil film Irandu. She paired with Madhavan in this film. But this film did not do well at the box office and she did not get many offers. She started concentrating in Telugu films and she reached the top there. Her film Arundhathi in Telugu was a block buster. This film was dubbed in Tamil. The dubbed version also broke the records in Tamil Nadu. After this hit, producers from Kollywood started going after her. Finally she paired with Vijay in Vettaikaran.
After Vettaikaran she paired with Surya in the film Singam which turned to super duper hit. Following this success Anushka is in high spirits. Now offers are knocking her doors. But her priority is Telugu films but she will act in Tamil films which has good story and big hero.
