Navdeep, who had acted in several Tamil films including Aegan, Arindhum Ariyamalum and Ilavattam, was arrested by the Hyderabad police for drunken driving. The actor enjoys a star status in the Telugu film industry with many of his films turning out to be hits. He is presently acting in a couple of Tamil films too.
Sources report that Navdeep was traveling in a car with a few friends when the police accosted him for over speed.
He and his friends were arrested after he started a brawl with the police on duty.
