For the present generation that couldn’t afford to watch the filmy adaptation of ‘Silapathigaram’, here’s a grand opportunity to experience the staged musical presentation of this literary work.
Media One Global Entertainment is now hosting a three-day stage drama of ‘Silapathigaram’ that will depict the complete chapter with choreography and music. The producers have admitted that it will be a fantabulous musical with an exclusive presentation of classic, folk and contemporary dance by 30 beautiful dancers. The colorful costumes and art direction is also said to be a highlighting attribute.
The show features Madurai R Muralidaran, Chithra Muralidaran, Uma Muralikrishna, Lavanya Shankar, Priyadarshini (Sun TV fame) Binesh Mahadevan, Shivakumar,
Natya Perarasu Madurai R. Muralidharan and Chitra Muralidharan have conceptualized, composed music, choreographed and directed the play.
The shows will be held from May 24 till 27 at Music Academy in Chennai between 7 and 9 in the evening.
Silapathigaram is a story of stolen jewel anklets that lets Kannagi take revenge on entire Madurai dynasty.
