Parvathi Ommankuttan is the beauty who got the second place in the Miss World contest in 2008. She is debuting as the heroine in the Tamil film titled Uma Maheswaram. This film is based on the classical Bharathanatiyam dance.

Nithin Ramakrishnan is the person who directed the Malayalam film Apporva at his age of 17. This film had Kalabhavan Mani and Vimala Raman in the lead roles. The film was launched recently in Chennai.
