Tiruppur Selvaraj is producing a film titled Gurukulam under the banner S S R Movie makers. Aswin, Milan, Jay, Veera and Anu have starred in this film. Petthansami is directing this film.
While speaking about this film, he said,” This film has a backdrop of the villages of Ariyalur and Dharmapuri districts where it is believed that there are movements of naxalites. The naxalite group kidnaps a school student and demands a heavy ransom for the rich father.
This incident affects the mind of children. These students also enact a kidnap scene colliding with a rich man’s son. But this turns nightmarish. They get entwined between the naxalites and the police in the forest.
We have shown how the children’s minds are corrupted. We have shot the film in forests. Out of thousand children we have selected five and made them act in this film.”
