Keerthi Chawla made her debut as heroine in the film Aanai which had Arjun in the lead role. Though she has acted in 25 films, she has not reached the top position. When asked her this, she said,” I am also asking the same thing. Why I haven’t become the top heroine.
I also don’t know the reason. I think the time hasn’t come yet. After Arjun I have not acted with big heroes. I have also felt about this but at the same time I am also happy. When I act with big heroes I will have the chance only to dance and sing with them but if I act in the story which has importance to role then only I can bring out my acting skills. Many are asking me whether I am acting with bikini dress and in kissing scenes in order to fetch roles. It is not like that. I did the sole heroine role in Swetha. My role was title character. So I acted wearing swim suit in the introductory scene. With regard to the kissing scene it was unexpected.
Let’s not talk about this now. After this they wanted me to repeat these kind of scenes. I refused. Only if the story demands I will act in swim suits. With regard to kissing scenes, it’s okay forever. So far I did not the role which would expose my acting talents. But now I am donning a realistic role in which I am blind in the film Kulasekaranum Coolipadaiyum, I am acting without makeup. You can see who Kirthi Chawla is in this film.
I am also doing different kind of roles in Thirumathi Tamizh and Ninavil Nindraval. With regard to my marriage, I will think about it after three years only and I also want to marry the person finalized by my parents. Until then I shouldn’t fall in love with anyone. But the chances are less because my full concentration is in acting only.”
