The sexy actress Shriya Saran visited India’s premier management institution the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad last Friday. It was not to attend any cultural event. She went there to give a serious lecture to the students.
IIM, Ahmedabad had introduced a course in Media and Cinema at the start of the current academic year probably in view of the powerful roles these two tools play in the country. Shriya had been invited by them as a ‘guest lecturer’ to deliver to the students a lecture on the ‘significance of media and cinema’ in the 21st century.
Shriya is said to be the first ever Indian actress to have lectured the students at IIM. Among the actors, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan had once appeared at the premises of the Institute and had delivered separate lectures. Shriya’s lecture, well attended and received by the students, also touched upon the aspect of how to ‘market’ and brand a particular film in the market.
The attendance was almost 100% on that day. Shriya also spoke in detail about the way they market the films in Tollywood and Kollywood.
