Karthi play the lead role and Tamanna as his lady love. Milind Soman who made a impressive performance in 'Patchai Kili Muthucharam' plays the baddie. Most of the talkie portions have been canned across the busy Highway Roads of Bangalore-Mumbai.

Audio Release - A star-studded occasion indeed! It was a moment of grandeur as who’s who of Kollywood graced over the audio launch held at Satyam Cinemas. Director Shankar launched the audio with actor Surya received the first copy. Filmmaker-actor Venkat Prabhu compeered the show, which was brimmed with lots of sense of humor.

Couple of sensational songs with eye-catching visuals (Thuli Thuli - Vocals: Haricharan, Tanvi, Adada Mazhaida - Vocals: Rahul Nambiar, Saindhavi) and film’s sleek trailer were screened. The trailer was really awe-inspiring with stunning visuals and fast-editing by Antony.

Some of the excerpts of the occasion:

R.K. Selvamani – Lingusamy worked the magic by transforming romantic Maddy as an action packed hero with Run. Now I’m pretty sure that Karthi will have a great time with this film…

Abirami Ramanathan – Producer Bose (Brother of Lingusamy) screened the visuals and trailer much prior to this occasion. I’ve acquired city rights for this film and it’s sure to rock to box office…

Hansraj Saxena – I kindly request Lingusamy to make a film for Sun Pictures. We would be privileged if he accepts our offer.

Mysskin – One of my favorite quotations marked by Fedrico Fellini – The most happiest day in my life was when I got failed in school studies. To be precise, I and Lingusamy have too failed in our schools.

Director A.R. Murugadoss – Myself and director Lingusamy used to meet at Sivakumar’s house where we used to share our thoughts, poems, discuss philosophical motifs. Indeed during these junctures, I got to know the profound knowledge of keen interest Lingusamy has over poetries. There are so many film professionals, whose mindsets shifts over to making money into different arenas in future. But Lingusamy remains the same even after churning out so many successful flicks.

Yuvan Shankar Raja – Usually I don’t speak over such occasions as I feel my music should speak. I hope, songs of Paiyya will do well.

Silambarasan – I would like to thank Thamannah, since she happens to be the only actress who hasn’t moved to Bollywood like other actresses. I am so excited to work Lingusamy’s next production under the banner of Tiruapthi Brothers and directed by Boopathy Pandian…

Na. Muthukumar – Want to know about an unforgettable, ever-cherishing moment in your life? A happy journey with rainfall, cool music and your sweet heart by your side. Paiyya will invigorate everyone and make them fall in love again.

Jayam Ravi – It makes me happy to witness great filmmaker like Venkat Prabhu compeering for another film’s function. Lingusamy sir assured that he will work with me in mere future, when we filmed together for ‘Deepavali’ (Lingusamy’s first production). But he hasn’t done it… (jocular statement).

Thamannah – Signing in for ‘Paiyya’ happened at last minute and it’s a great experience working for this film.

Karthi – Both of my other films ‘Paruthiveeran’ and ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ depicts me with thick beard, dark tone to have a look of pakka ruffian. But for the first time, Lingusamy has made me look so fantastic with fine costumes…. Romance+Action has been the successful formulas in Tamil Cinema and ‘Paiyya’ has both the ingredients.

Parthiban – Usually ‘Tirupathy’ is famous for ‘Laddu’ and ‘Shaving head’. But this ‘Tirupathy’ would empty the pockets of audiences urging them to watch the film again and again.

Surya – I was supposed to act in Lingusamy’s debut directorial ‘Anandham’ as one of the brother’s role. But got preoccupied with ‘Nanda’ and later when Lingusamy approached me, I couldn’t accept his best offer. I am sure, he’ll direct me in future.

Shankar – One can jude the film’s standard with its designs and trailers. Both these attributes are top-notching with ‘Paiyya’.

Lingusamy concluded the occasion with his vote of thanks of sharing his working experience with all the technicians and star-casts of ‘Paiyya’.
