Jeeva tries his hand in comedy by teaming up with Vadivelu for the first time in film Kaccheri Aarambham.The stroy revolves around a youngster who comes to the city in look out for a job. When he is unable to find one, he joins vadivelu who runs a store in Burma Bazaar and the problems that he faces here forms the story line. Poonam Bajwa plays the female lead. J.D.Chakravarthy plays the baddie role.
Initially the shoot for a sequence was planned to happen in Burma Bazaar but the unit was confronted with lots of practical problems, as a result they gave up the idea. A set was erected in Film City, recreating the Burma Bazaar at a cost of 25 Lakhs. Few important scenes would be shot here.
