Soundarya Rajinikanth to wed boyfriend Ashwin

Confirming widespread media speculation, Soundarya, daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, is set to tie the knot this year with her boyfriend, Ashwin, son of a city-based industrialist, Ramkumar, who runs a construction company.

The engagement is said to be scheduled for Valentine’s Day.

Though the wedding date is yet to be announced, it is believed that the wedding will be conducted later this year. Soundarya was unavailable for comment.

Soundarya, who is the second daughter of Rajinikanth, runs an animation company, Ocher Studios, and has recently entered film production.

Her first film, Goa, is expected to be released later this month.

Soundarya had already entered production with an animation film, Sultan The Warrior, starring her father. The film has been in the making for three years and is yet to be released.

Soundarya’s betrothal to Ashwin, who is currently running the construction business along with his father Ramkumar, is expected to be a simple function.

The couple is believed to have been in a relationship for over a year. The engagement has been fixed for February 14 after obtaining consent from both families.
