Meera Jasmine dons the role of a police officer for the first time

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had written a novel titled Surulimalai a few years ago. This novel is now being adapted film with the title Pen Singam.

Udhay Kiran is doing the lead role while Meera Jasmine is pairing with him. Meera Jasmine who had acted in more than 40 films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada languages had not so far acted in the role of a police officer. For the first time she has donned the role of a police officer in the film Pen Singam.

She is doing the role of a brave IPS officer who fights the male chauvinism. Sudarsana Sen is another heroine. Vivek, Radha Ravi, Vaagai Chandrasekaran, Y Gee Mahendran and Rohini are also starring in this film. The sizzling punch dialogues of Kalaignar Karunanidhi will be in this film.
He has also penned the lyric for a song. Vaali, Vairamuthu and Pa Vijay have also written the lyrics for this film. Bali Srirangam is directing this film which is being produced by Arumuganeri S P Murugesan. The shooting is in the final stages.
