Endhiran is a big-budget 2010 sci-fi Tamil Movie directed by S. Shankar and produced by Kalanidhi Maran. Endhiran is also a movie about a robot - an android.

Endhiran will see the Tamil cinema debut of Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Aishwarya will be paired with the south Indian superstar Rajnikanth. The credited star cast also has veteran Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam, Karunas and more.

S. Shankar also directed the Tamil blockbuster, and also one of the most expensive Indian movies, Sivaji The Boss (2007) starring Rajinikanth, Shriya Saran, Suman, Vivek, Raghuvaran and others. Music of Sivaji was composed and directed by A R Rahman.

Oscar winner Allah Rakha Rahman is composing and directing music for Endhiran.

Estimates for the budget of Endhiran range from 120 crores to 180 crores - it is quite likely the most expensive film ever made in Indian cinema.
