Suriya’s heroine is new face – Murugadoss

Distancing himself from reports that he is going to remake Telugu blockbuster ‘Kick’ in Hindi, A R Murugadoss said he had no plans to remake any movie and he had not even watched the Ravi Teja-Ileana starrer.

“There is no truth in media reports that I would make ‘Kick’ in Hindi with Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead. To be frank, I had not even watched the film,” says the ‘Ghajini’ director.

Claiming that his next venture would be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin with Suriya playing the protagonist, Murudadoss says, “The film would go on floors by the end of February 2010. It would be an out and out action movie.”

Adding more, he says, “Some say Katrina Kaif would act opposite Suriya in the film. But the role requires an actress who knows Tamil well and I am looking for a new face. Selection process is currently on.”

“The story’s backdrop would be totally new to Tamil cinema. After completing this project, I would be moving to Bollywood, where I would be a filming a story penned by me. I am also going to produce movies soon,” he adds.
