Sibi Raj explains why he is doing villain role

Actor Sathyaraj son Sibi Raj made his debut as a hero in the film Student No 1. After this he acted as hero in various films including Mannin Maindhan, Lee , Jor and Vetri Vel Sakthi Vel.

Sibi Raj who was so far doing hero roles all of a sudden switched over to villain role in the film titled Nanayam. The audio CD of this film was released yesterday at Kothandapani Studios in Chennai. While speaking on this occasion, Sibi Raj said,” Prasanna is my role model.

When he was acting as hero in other films, he did the villain role in the film Anjathey. The villain role he donned was not ordinary but barbarous. His acting ass villain was well received by the audience. He is the one who gave the confidence that one can earn a good name by doing villain role also.

After Lee I wanted to do a negative role. I got this chance through Prasanna. He is the reason for me acting in Nanayam. I liked the story when I heard it. Normally after I listen to the story, my father will also listen to the story. After listening to Nanayam story he told me that there is lot of scope for acting in this role. So far such a story has not come out in Tamil cinema.”
