Karthik back in action

Karthik the bubbly actor reined Kollywood in the 1980s. Few years back he quit acting. Now he is running a political party called Naadalum Makkal Katchi.

Many efforts were made to bring him back to cinema. But he refused. But now he has agreed to do a role in a film titled Maanja Velu since he was impressed by the story. A Venkatesh is directing this film.

Director Venkatesh while speaking to the media about this said,” There is an important brother role in this film Maanja Velu. We felt that Karthik would fit in this role. So we approached him. He was highly impressed when he listened to the story.

He immediately gave his nod. He will be donning the role of Arun Vijay. He will be coming throughout the film. The shooting pertaining to his scenes are going on. You can see the Karthik of Varusham 16 and Gokulathil Seethai in this film.

He is participating in the shooting with full of energy and freshness. Every morning he is present sharp at 8 and stays till the evening until the shooting is completed. This film would be his second innings.” Tanshika who acted in Peraanmai is pairing with Arun Vijay in this film
