Kamal at Gauthami’s serial launch

Gauthami is making a comeback to acting with Abirami Ramanathan’s mega serial called Abirami. A grand launch was held at the Abirami Mega Mall this morning with none other than Kamal Haasan inaugurating by switching on the camera while Rama Narayanan gave the first clap.

“Many have been asking about my return to acting and now this is my answer,” said a happy Gauthami. More details of the role will be revealed later by the makers. The show will be aired on Kalaignar TV and is the first of many such serials to be produced by Abirami Ramanathan who intends to enter TV in a big way by making more TV software.

Kushboo, KRG, Kastoori Raja, Amirtham, Kutty Padmini ( the creative head of the serial), Kalaipuli Dhanu and others were present. Kalpana also plays a major role. Real jewellery worth Rs 50 lakhs is being sponsored for the show.
