Director Manirathnam hasn’t changed – Prabhu

Actor Prabhu is on cloud nine. He has a meaty role in Manirathnam’s Ashokavanam with actors like Aishwarya, Abhishek, Vikram and others in the cast. His hands are also full with a role in his home production Asal starring Ajith and Sameera.

Talking about the Mani Ratnam experience he says, “Manirathnam hasn’t changed over the years. I worked with him in Agni Natchathiram and Anjali years ago and it’s a pleasure to be back with him again after so long. He still addresses everyone as ‘sir’ on the sets even though he is so senior in stature himself! He calls Vikram Kenny sir and all the ladies actors on the sets are called ‘madam’. He is the same humble Mani Ratnam who still is shy of standing for a photo even!”

Clearly Prabhu is enjoying the nostalgic trip shooting for this movie with the director who weaves the same magic.
