Swathi’s role in Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule got her due recognition in Tollywood but it was her debut in Subramaniapuram that catapulted her to the star status in Kollwood.
The actress is fondly referred to as Colors Swathi as it was in the Telugu film Colors that she had debuted.This film was directed by Selvaraghavan and ever since then the director was keen on signing up the actress for his Tamil ventures. The time has proved right now with Swathi carving a niche for herself with Subramaniapuram. This time around, Selvaraghavan has plans to rope in the lady for his forthcoming venture with Vikram in the lead.
