Jayam Ravi and his leading lady Tamannaah survived a earthquake on October 1, as they were shooting in KL, Malaysia for M.Raja’s Thillalangadi!
A powerful earthquake of 7.6 magnitudes had struck near the city of Padang on Indonesia’s Sumatra Island near the coast of Malaysia on October 1, killing nearly 200 people. The after effects of this earthquake were felt in KL.
Says Jayam Ravi: “We were staying and shooting at the famous Legend Hotel in KL in Malaysia when the incident took place. The luxury high rise five star, gives us a panoramic and breathe taking sky view of Kula Lumpur including the Putra World Trade Centre. When the earthquake hit Sumatra Island, our hotel shook and all of us were terrified.”
Jayam Ravi, Tamannaah and the rest of the 50 odd unit members ran out of the hotel, as they thought the building will come down any moment. Later the hotel staff had to convince them that the hotel is earthquake proof and there is nothing really to worry.
