One rare film in which MGR acted with Savithri was Vettaikaran. A film with the same title is seen as a money-spinner by loyal fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay.
At the glittering audio launch hosted by Sun Pictures on Wednesday, Vijay had the packed gathering in good humour singing a few lines of the number ‘Naan Adicha Thanga Matte’. In his inspiring speech, Vijay said he could always take depend on the success of at least two songs in any of Vijay Antony’s compositions.
“I particularly liked the number ‘Banaras Pattu Kodi’ in Ninaithale Enikkum. Even in a gana number, he has the rare ability to squeeze in melody,” said Vijay to the gathered audience.
Vijay’s picture riding a white horse in a cowboy dress gave a rich look to the background of the stage. The actor’s pictures in various get ups hogged all the attention in the tastefully decorated arena.
Directors Shankar and K.S. Ravikumar released the audio CD which was received by the members of the film fraternity comprising actors, directors, producers and cinematographers.
The trailers of all the five songs with the singers themselves rendering them was an added attraction in the well-organized function. Paired with Vijay for the first time, Anushka was seen sporting a smile right throughout the function.
