Srikanth attempts redemption with ‘Drohi’

Srikanth, who went largely unnoticed in the Namitha-Hemamalini-Rahasiya starrer ‘Indiravizha’, is attempting sort of redemption as a hero with his upcoming film ‘Drohi. The film is produced by Mano Akkineni, one of the grandsons of veteran producer L.V. Prasad. Srikanth, who badly needs a hit in Tamil to sustain himself in Kollywood, is reportedly pinning a lot of hopes in this film.

Srikanth, who had refused to play ‘guest’ roles in the interim period, has vowed to himself to bounce back in the reckoning. Vishnu, who made a successful debut in ‘Vennila Kabadikuzhu’, has been signed up as the other hero. The film has a trio of heroines in Pooja, Poonam Bajwa and Poorana. The film is said to be an action thriller with hair-raising chasing sequences and a fast-paced script.

Yesteryear’s hero Thyagarajan, who hadn’t been acting for the past many years, has been roped in to play an important role. The shooting has been proceeding at a brisk pace.
