Sandhya is donning the role of a tribal girl in Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam directed by Simbhudevan. When asked her whether her role would attract the youth at the time when other actresses are rocking in glamour roles, she said,” Glamour intoxication has become more in Tamil cinema. I did not come to Tamil cinema to expose my skin. I will not go against Tamil culture.
In the recent times swim suit fever has caught up with many actresses. This is one of their ambitions. Popular actresses make announcement that they are acting in swim suit costumes and the media people give wide publicity for this. Nobody has so far approached me to act in such scenes and even if they approach me I will not act in such roles. I am donning the role of a tribal girl in Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam. This is an important role in my career. I am wearing leather costumes for this role. I have also danced Bharatanatyam in this costume. This dance will be much spoken about.
I have completed acting in the Kannada film Aaptharaksha, This is Chandiramukhi Part 2. I have not agreed for any other Tamil films. I will accept films only after completing Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam. I will not be able to act in any other films because I am donning an important role in this film. I will be doing a Telugu film after this. Talks regarding this are going on.”
