Actor Prakash raj
After his National award winning performance as an aging silk weaver named Vengadam in Priyadarshan’s offbeat Tamil film Kanchivaram, the numero uno of South Indian cinema Prakash raj is getting ready for a meaty role in yet another offbeat film to be made in Telugu by debutant director Kripakar Reddy.
Notably, actress Bhumika will be seen opposite Prakash raj in this film, scheduled to begin by the end of September. Although Prakash raj and Bhumika have worked together in several films earlier, this is the first time they are pairing together in lead roles. (Prakash raj played villain roles in several films in which Bhumika acted as heroine.) This untitled film is produced by the director himself. More details are awaited.
Meanwhile, it is heard that with his National award followed by instant fame from his astounding performance as Ghani Bhai in Salman Khan’s latest Bollywood flick Wanted, Prakash raj is literally flooded with many offers from Bollywood film makers these days. According to sources, Prakash raj hasn’t yet given any affirmative response, as he is already busy with dozens of South Indian projects.
