My mom, my mentor: Karthika

If a popular actor’s son makes a debut, naturally the young star hogs all the limelight. But changing the norms is Radha’s daughter Karthika, whose debut movie ‘Josh’ opposite Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya is hitting the screens today.

On a par with Naga Chaitanya, she is also attracting enough attention, thanks to the waves created by her mom when she was the heartthrob of south Indian youngsters during the early 1980s.

“My mom is my everything. She is my role-model, mentor, friend and sister. It is because of her I am making my presence felt in the tinsel town,” says the budding actress.

Saying that she would equal importance to studies and acting, Karthika says she is ready to act in Tamil film industry too. “Everything depends upon the script. I have no worries about selecting movies since my mom is there to take care of.”
