If things were all fine and perfect, it would’ve been a fantastic felicitation for Jyothika. The bubbly actress emerged on the notes of ‘best characterization’. According to the closer sources of juries for National Awards, it has been unveiled that Jyothika was left 1ft of striking gold.
Alas! One of juries in board of National Award Committee stated that it was a tremendous contestant between Jyothika (Mozhi), Meera Jasmine (Ore Kadal) and Umashree (Gulabi).
Till the last round, these three actresses were very close on the tracks and finally, Jo had to give her way out for Kannada actress Umashree for ‘Gulabi’.
However, the entire board of juries expressed their gesture of appreciating Jyothika with their standing ovation post-the-show.
