Superstar Rajinikanth launched the music album of Eeram
Superstar Rajinikanth launched the music album of Eeram, a thriller movie produced by director Shankar's S picture and directed by Arivazhagan, a former associate of Shankar. The event held at Sathyam Cinemas was attended by some big guns of Kollywood.
Speaking on the occasion, the Superstar said hard work should be complimented by intelligence and determination. "Hard work, if supported by smartness and efficiency, will bring you success. Shankar is an apt example to this," he said.
Stating that he was hardly seen at public functions after ‘Endhiran’ happened, Rajini said he however had no other option than attending the event. "Because, my best friend Shankar has invited me." Heaping laurels on Sasikumar, who received the first copy of ‘Eeram’ audio, for creating a new wave in Tamil cinema, the top actor said, "Sharing the dais with such people is a honour."
In his address, Shankar thanked Rajini for attending the function and hailed Sasikumar for proving himself in three different roles- a director, a producer and an actor.
Stating that it was Shankar who started a new trend in Kollywood by producing films like Kadhal and Kalloori, Sasikumar said in his address that he was proud to attend the function, that too to share the stage with a tall personality like Rajini.
Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan, Tamil Film Distributor Association president Kalaipuli G Sekaran, filmmaker Vasantha Balan and cinematographer-director K V Anand spoke.
‘Eeram’, which has musical score by S Thaman, features Adhi, Nandha, Sindhu Menon and Saranya Mohan in the lead roles.
