Legendary pop singer Michael Jackson will finally be buried next week on his 51st birthday (August 29), his father Joe Jackson said.
He said burial plans had just been finalized over the last few days and the singer will be buried at Los Angeles Forest Lawn Cemetery in accordance with plans that were finalized by the family over the past few days.
It’s been nearly two months since Michael Jackson died of as-yet-unannounced causes at age 50. Jackson’s body has reportedly been kept at Forest Lawn, while his final resting place is selected. It was reported earlier today that the King of Pop’s body has been moved to a secret freezer over potential security risks. Michael’s mother, Katherine, has reportedly visited there several times.
The results of Jackson’s autopsy are being withheld by the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office pending completion of the Los Angeles Police Department’s investigation into his death.
