Director Shankar plans for more thrills

Director Shankar hasn’t been a successful producer, but made great waves well as a producer too.

Right now, he has produced three films simultaneously rolling on the floors: ‘Eeram’, ‘Rettaisuzhi’ and ‘Anandha Purathu Veedu’. First to release amongst them is ‘Eeram’ a romantic suspense thriller starring Nanda, Aadhi and Sindhu Menon in lead roles.

The audio for this film launched by Rajnikanth at Satyam Cinemas while director M. Sasikumar received the first copy. The film is directed by Arivazhagan who earlier assisted director Shankar in his various films: ‘Anniyan’ and ‘Boys’.
Director Shankar’s other production ‘Anandha Purathu Veedu’ is also based on a suspense thriller with horror elements. Director Shankar has thusly planned to produce more thrillers in future.

Eeram Songs
The music launch of Shankar's Eeram was a star studded affair. The music of the film was launched by Superstar Rajinikanth along with director Sasikumar. Released under the Think Music label, the music the movie is composed by Thaman S., the young actor from the movie Boys, who has made a mark as music director with Kick (Telugu) and Sindhanai Sei (Tamil). Though there are only four songs in the album, each musical composition is a work of art in itself. The theme of Eeram lingers with you long after it has stopped playing.
