Santhosh Sivan may direct film on Sri Lankan issue Eminent cinematographer and director Santhosh Sivan may soon begin work on his next film which may possibly be about terrorism and the Sri Lankan Tamil issue.
If so, the director may choose to get special permission from the Lankan authorities to shoot the film in the jungles of Sri Lanka. Santhosh Sivan has directed films in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. His directorial debut was Terrorist and he has also worked in director Mani Ratnam's Dil Se which focussed on terrorism in the North-East. Currently, he is busy assisting Mani Ratnam for Raavan, which stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles.
