Abhirami Ramanathan, President of Theaters Owners’ Association had finally made a decision that there would be no bars opened in the theatres. Reasons mentioned were that when individuals may get boozed up and spoil the situation.

Perhaps, the family audiences may avoid coming to theatres. Also the association members have requested Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to lift up and shut down all the wine shops closer to the theatres.

Accordingly, Chief Minister Karunanidhi has answered to their calls and will be implementing the rules shortly.
