Remember Manthra, the voluptuous lady who was akin to our item numbers, with screen scorching songs in all her films? The actress, after a brief hiatus, is all to set to reenter Kollywood.
The chubby actress, whose plump turned out to be her biggest disadvantage, entered Kollywood through the Arun Vijay movie ‘Priyam’. And then, she got herself the opportunity to act with several of our famous heroes like Ajith in ‘Rettai Jadai Vayasu’, Vijay in ‘Love Today’ and so on. But the actress never made it big and remained extensively popular for her glamour.
The actress then bid goodbye to movies, marrying director Nivas. It is now learnt that she is planning on a comeback. This, however will not be as a heroine, but as a supporting character artiste. For those who’re wondering if she’ll still play the glam doll she used to this info could help. Her comeback flick is being directed by her husband himself.

Mantra makes her comeback with TV show!!!
Remember actress Mantra, who was once a sizzling sire with her assets doing more of the talking. She had worked with stars like Ajith, Prabhu and Arun Vijay in the past but out of action for almost a decade. Recently she was spotted in AVM Studios, for the reality show Aayirathil Oruvan, which gets aired on TV.
Actress Aparna Pillai, who heads the creative team in the Studio, confirmed the news. Mantra says, “she was impressed by my presentation and approached me for AO.”
She also has around 25 Telugu films to her name and halted her career in cinema after her wedding. Mantra is expected to play a role in upcoming Simbhu flick ‘Vaalu’ as well.
